You’ve built a life that many admire. It is successful and full. You’re the one others rely on. You manage the careers, the children, the transitions, and the decisions. And while you're deeply capable, you're also deeply human.
All the layers of responsibility and the pressure to perform have led to an unraveling that no one else sees.
What if you were able to once again find vitality and balance in your life? What if you were able to pause before jumping to say yes to others’ demands on you? What if you began to love your life?
This is where I come in. I help high-achieving men and women who are experiencing exhaustion from holding it all together. I work with them to manage parenting, marriage, career, and aging parents to create a life that holds their ambition and wellbeing with equal care.
THERAPY FOR PARENTS
Parenting can bring tremendous meaning to your life and also expose some of your deepest worries, frustrations, and vulnerabilities. Many times, the person who needs support isn't your child, it's you.
I work with parents who are overwhelmed, anxious, struggling with conflict at home, or simply finding that parenting has become harder than they expected. Some are raising preschool or elementary-age children and feel caught in exhausting cycles around discipline, behavior, or conflict. Others are navigating adolescence, when the relationship with a child can suddenly feel unfamiliar and emotionally charged. And many are trying to figure out how to parent a young adult when the old rules no longer apply.
ADOLESCENTS (11-17)
I connect easily with teens and tweens, who I believe are remarkable. They are at a unique stage of life where they’re developing their own identities, exploring new ideas, and discovering what they are passionate about, all while navigating physical, emotional and social changes.
I help teens harness their capacity for resilience and adaptability by utilizing their natural curiosity, open-mindedness and creativity. Teens in my practice benefit from supportive therapy that can offer them cognitive-behavioral tools as well as insight into themselves. I specialize in working with teenagers who are struggling with anxiety, depression, difficulty with emotional regulation, and relationships with peers or family.
COUPLES THERAPY
I work with couples from a psychodynamic perspective. This means I help partners understand how past experiences may be influencing the ways you connect, communicate, and care for each other. By gaining new insights and understanding, couples can heal old wounds, strengthen their bond, and create a more fulfilling, resilient partnership.
I also reinforce lasting change by teaching couples concrete, cognitive-behavioral tools for communication and connection.
PARENT COACHING
Parent coaching is solution-focused, short-term work designed to address specific parenting challenges. My expertise spans the developmental stages from infancy through early adulthood. I love working with parents because, with the right guidance, change can happen quickly.
In these sessions, I teach practical, evidence-based tools to help you resolve the parenting challenges you are facing now. As a parent coach, I bring more than two decades of experience working with hundreds of parents, offering individualized strategies informed by both clinical expertise and real-world experience as a mother of two.
At the end of a parent coaching session, you will have a concrete plan for addressing the difficulty you are experiencing at this particular stage of your child's development.
Parent coaching is a separate service from psychotherapy and is available to parents both within and outside of California.
TRAUMA
In addition to talk therapy as one approach to healing trauma, I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). This is an evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from trauma by supporting the brain’s natural ability to process distressing memories. Through guided eye movements in a safe, supportive environment, EMDR reduces the emotional charge of past experiences, helping clients feel more grounded, resilient, and at peace.
